The customer chooses a payment method on the invoice payment page:
- Credit or debit card is familiar and quick. The all-in cost is Stripe’s 2.9% plus 30 cents and Conduit’s 1% platform fee.
- ACH bank transfer connects the customer’s bank account. Stripe’s ACH cost is 0.8%, capped at $5, and Conduit’s platform fee is $1.
ACH may be unavailable for a particular payment because of amount, daily-volume, or bank-balance checks. When that happens, the payment page directs the customer to use a card. See how the customer experiences this choice in Getting Paid and Payment Fees.
