Adding Customers

The customer detail page

Click any customer in the list to open their detail page: name, status badge, and type up top, lifetime paid total and current balance beside it, and tabs for Details, Projects, Jobs, and Invoices with live counts. The Details tab carries contact info, address, primary technician, lead source, and the customer-since date.

  1. Click through the Projects, Jobs, and Invoices tabs and note the count on each.
  2. On the Projects tab, click Add Project, enter a street address, and save.
  3. Add another contact with a name, phone number, and email address.
  4. Record SMS consent, then choose Email and Text separately for job updates and for billing.
  5. Click Archive in the top right, then confirm. This is the standard delete: the customer leaves the active list but their data is preserved.

Customer detail page (interactive when scripts run): Brightline Property Group with Details, Projects (1), Jobs (2), and Invoices (2) tabs, plus Edit and Archive actions.

If a customer has no project yet, the Projects tab shows a prompt to create one. Most work in Conduit nests under projects, so this nudge is intentional.

A project with a recurring schedule attached also carries a Recurring pill next to its status and type pills, colored to match the schedule’s own state (active, paused, or draft). Click it to jump straight to that schedule.

The customer’s own name header also carries a Recurring pill whenever the customer has any recurring schedule at all, attached to a project or not: green when at least one is active, amber otherwise. Hover it to see the count and how many are not tied to a project; click it to open the Recurring list filtered to this customer. This is the only place a standalone schedule (one created without picking a project) shows up, since a project card can only ever show a schedule attached to that specific project.

When a customer has a standalone schedule, the Projects tab also shows a line above the project cards naming it, with an Attach to project button. Clicking it opens that schedule’s edit form filtered to this customer, with a hint over the Project field, and picking a project there is what makes the schedule show up on a project card going forward.
