Log time on a job

Lesson 15 of 18 · Time & Scheduling

Below the clock button, every job carries its own time log: add an entry by exact times or by hours worked, edit or delete any entry, and mark it billable or not.

  1. Open the manual time entry form.
  2. Uncheck Billable for time that shouldn't invoice the customer, like a warranty callback.
  3. Click + Add time entry, fill in either Hours worked or exact Start/End times, then click Add Entry.
  4. Using exact times, add an entry that overlaps one already on the job. Conduit warns you with a toast but still lets you save, real-world overlaps happen.
  5. Click the pencil icon on an entry, change a field, and click Save.
  6. Click the trash icon to delete an entry.
  7. Notice the labor rate section: set a per-job rate, or fall back to the company default. Completed billable hours later auto-append as labor line items when you generate the invoice, a rate fallback chain of job rate, then company default, then the assignee's rate.

Job time log (interactive when scripts run): a job with two logged entries, one non-billable, plus the add/edit forms and labor rate section.
