The customer’s side: managing autopay later

Every autopay confirmation and receipt links to a public page where the customer can check their saved method, change it, or turn autopay off entirely, without signing in or contacting you.

  1. See the saved payment method and enrollment date.
  2. Update the payment method.
  3. See the simulated Stripe card form.
  4. Save the new method.
  5. See the update confirmed.
  6. Turn off autopay entirely.
  7. See autopay turned off.

Manage autopay (public page): the customer's saved method and enrollment date, an Update payment method flow with a simulated Stripe form, and a Turn Off Autopay button.

Swapping the method is applied by webhook, not instantly, so this page briefly polls before confirming the change. Turning autopay off here has the same effect as you turning it off from the schedule’s Payment management card: future occurrences fall back to the schedule’s normal delivery setting instead of charging automatically.

If Customers can cancel autopay themselves is off for the schedule (or for any of that customer’s active autopay schedules with you), the Turn Off Autopay button doesn’t appear here, in the enrollment confirmation email, or in payment receipts. In its place, each of those surfaces tells the customer to contact you directly, naming your company email and/or phone, whichever you have on file. They can still update their saved payment method from this page either way.
