Open AI takeoff on a selected page in a completed, current-version run. Under Verified scales, choose a bounded plan, detail, or inset and draw its polygon on the displayed PDF, or explicitly choose a whole-page plan scale. Mark two points on a known dimension, enter its physical distance and unit, inspect the preview, then confirm and save. A region applies only to geometry it fully covers; crossing scales stays unresolved. Editing or retiring a scale sends affected accepted physical items back to review, while an existing draft bid retains its price until you explicitly reconcile it. The manual calibration toolbar continues to serve manual takeoff independently.
The lesson uses a labeled synthetic plan and generated physical proposal; it demonstrates the real editor controls, not drawing recognition or customer accuracy.
- Start a bounded verified scale.
- Draw the region boundary on the plan.
- Finish the boundary.
- Mark a known dimension with two points.
- Enter the physical distance.
- Confirm that you checked the source.
- Save the verified scale.
- Inspect the saved region.
- Revise its distance and save again.
- Retire the verified region.
