Building Your Pricebook

Add, edit, and delete pricebook items

Click + Add Item and a modal opens with the new item form: an optional image, name, description, item type (Material or Service), category, unit, price, cost, and a Taxable checkbox that’s checked by default. As soon as you fill in Cost, Conduit calculates margin and markup automatically and shows them next to Price. Click any item in the list to edit or delete it the same way.

  1. Click + Add Item, fill in name, category, item type, cost, and price, then click Create.
  2. Notice Conduit computing the margin and markup automatically as you fill in Cost.
  3. Uncheck Taxable for an item you don't charge sales tax on.
  4. Upload an image so the item is easier to spot when picking it later.
  5. Click an item in the list, change a field, and click Save.
  6. Open an item, click Delete, then Confirm to permanently remove it.

Pricebook items (interactive when scripts run): Standard Outlet Installation and Recessed LED Can Light, with an Add Item button and the real new/edit item modal.

If you charge $150 for a service call and it costs you $80, your margin is 47% and your markup is 88%. Knowing this on every line item is the difference between guessing at a quote and pricing with confidence.
