The CompanyCam integration copies the jobsite photos you choose from a CompanyCam project into the matching Conduit project or job. Your crew keeps taking photos in CompanyCam; you bring the ones you need into Conduit for bids, invoices and records.
Use CompanyCam with Conduit
Connect CompanyCam, link projects, import jobsite photos, fix common problems and reach CompanyCam support.
Lessons in this guide
StartHow the integration works
- You choose the photos. Conduit reads your CompanyCam projects and photos, and copies only the photos you select, up to five at a time. Nothing syncs automatically: a photo taken in CompanyCam tomorrow appears in Conduit only after someone imports it.
- One CompanyCam account per company. An administrator connects it once in Integrations. Your CompanyCam password stays with CompanyCam; Conduit only receives the access CompanyCam grants.
- One CompanyCam project per Conduit project. Link a Conduit project to its CompanyCam project once. A job that belongs to that project uses the same link.
- Imported photos are copies. Originals stay in CompanyCam. Deleting or editing a photo in CompanyCam does not change the copy in Conduit, and disconnecting keeps every photo you already imported.
- Internal photos stay in CompanyCam. Photos marked internal in CompanyCam show as view only and cannot be imported.
- Conduit does not create or change anything in CompanyCam. Create projects and take photos in CompanyCam itself.
Who can do what, with the default permission tiers (an owner can change these on the Permission Tiers tab; see Team and permissions):
| Action | Default access |
|---|---|
| Connect, reconnect or disconnect CompanyCam | Admin and Owner. Connecting also needs a confirmed Conduit email. |
| Link or unlink a CompanyCam project | Manager and above |
| Import photos into a project or job | Manager and above |
| See a project’s CompanyCam tab | Everyone on the team |
Connect, link and import photos
Open Integrations, choose CompanyCam and select Connect CompanyCam. CompanyCam asks you to sign in and approve Conduit, then sends you back to Conduit, which shows Connected to your CompanyCam company name. Connection details on that page holds Reconnect CompanyCam and Disconnect and remove project links.
Then open a Conduit project from Your projects on the same page, or from Projects, then the CompanyCam tab. Search for the CompanyCam project, link it, tick the photos you want and choose Import. On a job, the same CompanyCam section sits on the job page below Photos; it uses the job’s project link.
Where imported photos appear
- Imported from a project’s CompanyCam tab: each photo becomes a Photo document on the project’s Plans/Takeoff tab, named after its CompanyCam description.
- Imported from a job page: each photo is added to that job’s Photos, alongside photos your crew uploads in Conduit.
- In the CompanyCam photo list, an imported photo shows Imported and cannot be selected again for the same project or job.
Disconnect or switch accounts
Disconnect and remove project links (under Connection details) removes the connection and every project link. Imported photos stay in Conduit. If Conduit shows “CompanyCam could not confirm revocation”, also remove Conduit’s access in your CompanyCam account.
Reconnect CompanyCam signs in again. Reconnecting the same CompanyCam company keeps your project links. Connecting a different CompanyCam company removes the old links, because its projects are different; link each project again.
Troubleshooting
Each problem below shows the message you see, the usual cause, the fix and who can help. “Conduit” means Conduit support; “CompanyCam” means CompanyCam support.
Connecting your account
| What you see | Cause | Fix | Who can help |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connect CompanyCam is greyed out with “Conduit is completing CompanyCam application setup” or “Connecting isn’t available yet” | Conduit’s side of the connection is not ready for your company. | Nothing to change on your side. | Conduit |
| “Ask your company owner for access to manage this connection”, or on a project “Ask a company administrator to connect CompanyCam” | Your permission tier cannot manage integrations. | Ask an Admin or Owner to connect, or an owner to grant the capability. | Your company owner |
| “CompanyCam authorization could not be completed. Start again below.” | The approval was cancelled on CompanyCam, took too long, was opened in another browser, or your Conduit session ended. | Select Connect CompanyCam again and finish the CompanyCam screen in the same signed-in browser tab. | Conduit, if it keeps failing |
| “Connect CompanyCam from a signed-in Conduit web browser.” | Connecting was started outside a signed-in web browser session. | Sign in to Conduit in a web browser and connect from Integrations. | Conduit |
| CompanyCam will not let you sign in, or does not offer Conduit access | A CompanyCam login, plan or account permission problem. | Check your CompanyCam login and account access. | CompanyCam |
| “CompanyCam has not granted access to this resource.” | The CompanyCam user who approved Conduit cannot see that project or photo, or the approval did not grant the access Conduit asks for. | Reconnect with a CompanyCam user who can see the project, and approve every requested permission. | CompanyCam |
The connection stops working
| What you see | Cause | Fix | Who can help |
|---|---|---|---|
| “Connection needs attention”, “Reconnect to access your CompanyCam projects.” or “CompanyCam authorization expired or was revoked. Reconnect your account.” | Conduit’s access was removed in CompanyCam, or it expired. | An Admin or Owner selects Reconnect CompanyCam. Links survive if you use the same CompanyCam company. | CompanyCam, if access keeps being removed |
| “Connect CompanyCam in Integrations first.” or “CompanyCam is not connected for this company.” | No active connection, often after a disconnect. | Connect again in Integrations. | Conduit |
| The page says “Connected to” a CompanyCam company you did not expect, and your projects are missing | The account was connected with a login for a different CompanyCam company. | Reconnect with the right CompanyCam login, then link your projects again. Imported photos are not affected. | CompanyCam, for login questions |
Finding projects and photos
| What you see | Cause | Fix | Who can help |
|---|---|---|---|
| “No matching CompanyCam projects.” | The search does not match a project name in the connected CompanyCam company, or that CompanyCam user cannot see it. | Search a shorter part of the name. Check the project exists in CompanyCam; Conduit cannot create CompanyCam projects. | CompanyCam |
| “This CompanyCam project or photo is no longer available.” | It was deleted or moved in CompanyCam. | Unlink project, then link the correct one. | CompanyCam |
| “No photos in this CompanyCam project yet.” or a new photo is missing | Photos do not sync automatically; or it is still uploading from the CompanyCam app. | Wait for the upload to finish in CompanyCam, then select Refresh photos. | CompanyCam, if the photo never appears there |
| “Assign this job to a project to link CompanyCam photos.” | The job has no Conduit project. | Add the job to a project, then link that project. | |
| No search box or photo checkboxes | Your permission tier can view but not link or import. | Ask a Manager, Admin or Owner, or an owner to adjust the tiers. | Your company owner |
Importing photos
| What you see | Cause | Fix | Who can help |
|---|---|---|---|
| A photo’s checkbox is disabled | It is marked Internal photo, view only, is already Imported, or you already selected five. | Import in batches of five. To import an internal photo, change it in CompanyCam first. | CompanyCam, for internal photo settings |
| “2 photos available in this project. 1 could not be imported. Select them to retry.” with a reason per photo | Some photos in the batch failed; the rest were imported. | Select the failed photos and import again. | Depends on the reason below |
| “This image URL or file format is not supported for import.” | Conduit imports JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF images up to 20 MB from CompanyCam’s photo storage. Videos, documents and larger files are refused. | Use Open original to view it in CompanyCam. | Conduit, if a normal photo is refused |
| “This photo is marked internal in CompanyCam and cannot be copied…” | The photo became internal after the list loaded. | Change it in CompanyCam if it should be shared. | CompanyCam |
| “Photo imports are awaiting verification…” or “Photo previews and imports are awaiting CompanyCam account verification.” | Photo import is not switched on for your company yet. You can still link projects. | Nothing to change on your side. | Conduit |
| “CompanyCam is busy. Wait a minute, then try again.” | CompanyCam is limiting requests. | Wait a minute and retry. | |
| “CompanyCam could not be reached. Try again shortly.” | CompanyCam or the network is down. | Retry later. | CompanyCam, if it lasts |
| “CompanyCam returned an unexpected response. No changes were made.” | Conduit could not read CompanyCam’s reply. | Retry once. | Conduit, if it repeats |
