Building Your Pricebook

Use the pricebook in a bid or invoice

The payoff comes when you create a bid or invoice. Open the form, click Item Catalog, and your whole pricebook is right there: search it, click an item, and the line arrives prefilled with its name, price, and taxable state. No retyping.

  1. Type in the catalog search box to narrow it down while building a bid or invoice.
  2. Click Diagnostic Service Call in the catalog to add it as a line.
  3. Notice the new line arrives with its name, price, and taxable state already filled in.

Item Catalog picker (interactive when scripts run): the real catalog picker as it appears inside a bid or invoice form, with one line already added and a small catalog to search and pick from.

If a customer asks for something not in your pricebook yet, just type it as a line on the bid or invoice: it lands in the catalog automatically for next time, carrying the name, description, price, and any cost you entered, and picking it later brings that cost back onto the line so price recalculates from your markup. The full bid walkthrough is in Creating a bid (coming soon).

If you already have a price list in a spreadsheet instead of typing it in one item at a time, the full CSV/Excel import walkthrough, including column mapping, is in Migrating data from another tool.
