Correct a schematic note

Lesson 16 of 27 · Bids & Takeoff

Generated equipment and connection notes keep their original words, source location, suggested fields, and any uncertain text beside your current interpretation. Open the drawing source, correct typed fields or the supported equipment or connection association, and explicitly review unresolved words before accepting. A correction remains pending until you accept it with a reason. Reject a wrong interpretation or exclude a note from estimator scope with a reason; a claim exclusion alone does not remove a bid task. Changed sources require a fresh comparison. Schematic notes do not establish physical length, quantity, or price; use manual takeoff for measurements the drawing cannot support. This lesson uses a labeled synthetic note, not a customer accuracy result.

  1. Open the original note on its drawing page.
  2. Try a correction and inspect the changed-source response.
  3. Compare the refreshed saved interpretation with your retained draft and reason.
  4. Save the correction against the refreshed source.
  5. Accept the reviewed note with a reason.
  6. Reject a different wrong interpretation with a reason.
  7. Exclude another note from estimator scope with a reason; bid scope remains a separate decision.
  8. Open manual Takeoff for physical quantities.
