Bid and Invoice Templates

Custom fields

Custom fields add company-specific data, like a PO number, job-site address, or license number, that isn’t already part of Conduit’s standard fields. Manage them from the Custom fields tab. Each definition has a label, a key (auto-generated from the label, locked once saved), a type (text, number, or date), and which document kinds it applies to. Transferable carries a value forward automatically, bid to job to invoice, without overwriting an existing value on the destination. Show on document renders a field with a value automatically, as another label/value pair on the PDF, the web view, and the notification email, even if you never added it to a template’s header fields. A Custom Fields section appears on the Bid, Invoice, and Job forms with one input per applicable definition, and in the Title and header fields group a header field’s source picker lists your custom fields alongside the built-in merge fields.

  1. Define a custom field.
  2. Turn on Show on document.
  3. Create it.
  4. See it on a bid with a value.
Define a custom field and see it rendered on a sample bid.
