Review, launch, and your domain

Lesson 49 of 49 · Getting Started

The Services tab is where your site’s progress lives, and it changes as the build moves. You can book a call from this card at any point before launch: Talk it through (optional) sits under the payment, with a Schedule button when your booking link is ready.

Approve If you gave us a domain The launch waits while you set two nameservers at your registrar. The Services tab shows exactly which, and how long it has been waiting. If you did not It is live straight away on a free address like site-sullivan-electric.pages.dev. You can add a domain whenever you are ready.

There is nothing to pay at launch: the $200 you paid up front covers it.

Once your site is building, the Services tab grows a My website section. It shows where the site is (Building, Ready for your review, Approved, Waiting for your domain, Live) with its preview and live links. Your domain sits under it: a name Conduit registered shows its renewal date and an Auto-renew switch; a domain you brought shows the two nameservers, each with a Copy button, until the switch is seen, then Connected. When you are ready, open Move the domain to Conduit, unlock the domain at your registrar and paste the transfer code; the card then counts the days until the transfer finishes. Once the domain is connected you get one free email address on it, like info@sullivanelectric.com, forwarded to your own inbox: Cloudflare mails you once to confirm, and the card says so until you click it. Once you approve the site, Edit your site lets you change your phone, email, address, service area, hours, services (add, remove, reorder, mark a top pick), about text, owner name and which of your photos show in the gallery and as the team photo. Save, and the card says it is updating your site, usually live within a few minutes; nobody has to look at it first. Your business name and new photos go through Request a change, which sends a note straight to the team building your site; the card shows the date you asked until someone picks it up.

  1. Open your draft from the review link.
  2. Find the Schedule button under Talk it through (optional).
  3. Read the two nameservers to set at your registrar while the launch waits.
  4. Find Request a change in My website.
  5. See the live address once the site is up.
