Track federal and state payments

The Quarterly plan separates federal and state targets. Recording a payment does not pay an authority. Choose its jurisdiction, tax type, tax year, date and confirmation; business/franchise taxes and future payments do not reduce today’s personal income-tax balance. The example uses an entered Colorado target. Supported calculations include Colorado, California’s estimated-tax worksheet and ordinary-income checks for nine no-general-income-tax states; other situations retain explicit manual targets and coverage warnings. “No general individual income tax” never means no business, capital-gains or transaction obligations.

  1. Open a new tax payment record.
  2. Record a $200 Colorado personal income-tax payment and confirmation.
  3. Verify its state, tax year, amount and confirmation in payment history.
